This article presents a 48–1 V merged-two-stage hybrid-switched-capacitor converter with linear extendable group operated point-of-load (LEGO-PoL) architecture for ultrahigh-current microprocessors, featuring 3-D stacked packaging and coupled inductors miniaturized size, fast speed, vertical power delivery. The is highly modular scalable. switched-capacitor circuits are connected in series on the input side to split high voltage into multiple domains. multiphase buck parallel distribute output current paths. It leverages advantages of achieve soft charging, sharing, balancing. converters used as sources soft-charge soft-switch circuits, utilized ensure sharing among circuits. A 780-A CPU regulator peak efficiency 91.1% full load 79.2% at an 1 liquid cooling built tested. switched capacitor operate 286 kHz MHz. regulates between 0.8 1.5 through entire range. first demonstration over 1-A/mm $^\text{2}$ density 1000-W/in notation="LaTeX">$^3$ density.
